There is always something going on at the Washington Boro Community Park located at 3717 Blue Rock Rd, West Boro, Pennsylvania, a 4-acre park stretching along the Susquehanna River. The Park was developed as a community project between the Manor Lion's Club and the Safe Harbor Water Power Corporation circa 1960's
The Washington Boro Community Park provides several communities services. There is a softball/ baseball field, and a basketball court for your summer sports activity. The younger children in the family can enjoy the playground and tot lot. The Park does provide a picnic Pavilion with grill. However, it must be rented. Individual picnic tables and grills are located on site as well. Access to the park is fairly accessible by car as parking is available. Please note that the restroom facilities are available during the months of April through October only.
If you are planning a July vacation, don't miss out on the Annual Tomato Festival held in the Washington Boro Community Park. At this festival, you will not only enjoy the fresh goodness of tomatoes but you have the opportunity to sample many delicious food combinations ranging from sauces to main course dishes.
