Get your workshop pass to be able to make a friend and get around to the six different Creation Stations throughout the workshop. The experience would be invaluable to you and your family as you would learn about your Amish friend's culture while creating a friend from authentic handmade clothing at two special activity stations. Learn about life in a one room schoolhouse while practicing German calligraphy and trying your hand at knotting a quilt at the quilt frame. Sign and seal your friendship certificate and lastly, ring the cast iron school bell to celebrate the fact that you have made a friend.
If you feel like working with wood instead, simply grab a pair of workman's goggle and a hammer and head over to the workshop bench to create a wooden Lancaster County barn, a steam train or a tractor and wagon. The Workshop provides all the required supplies and the wooden pieces you see here are hand-crafted by a local Amish craftsman.
