North Museum of Natural History & Science in Lancaster, PA, a dynamic museum opens the minds of young children to the wonder and beauty of science and facilitates a healthy interest in natural science through interesting displays, events, and interactive activities for all family members; the young and the young at heart. There is no better approach in teaching than the hands on approach and children love it.
Many exhibits feature the environment, the wonders of outer space, the science of rocks and minerals, the history of dinosaurs, and Native Americans. The North Museum also houses discovery rooms dedicated to a certain theme. The North Museum's planetarium is the largest in Central Pennsylvania.

Try your hand at working the machines that demonstrate how tornadoes and tidal waves occur.  Or marvel at Robot Adventures, the exhibit which demonstrates various robot applications from planetary exploration to manipulating objects by use of robot technology and demonstrating the illusion of movement.

Starting in July, you will see the exhibit, Return of the Robots: Highlights from the Toy Robot, a collection of toy robots from the past. The collection is brought to you by Joe Knedlhans of the Toy Robot Museum.

Throughout the calendar year, the museum offers temporary exhibits, plenty of lectures, live animals and sponsored field trips. The museum showcases hundreds of bird specimens,

The Museum is usually closed Mondays but open Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM. The museum opens Sunday at noon and closes at 5PM
