The Franklin & Marshall College Campus is quite old, dating back to 1787 and established with the help of famous inventor and colonial representative Benjamin Franklin. After providing approximately 200 pounds of currency to the historic Lancaster area, the college is full capable of everything it needs to survive. It usually receives around half a million dollars in grants annually, providing the students and professors with the necessary funding to continue their curriculum and use updated equipment to provide the surrounding research community with up-to-date results. Visitors can go at the College House, and four sections are part of this area. The college currently has 27 athletic teams, giving both genders a chance to fully show their athletic skill both inside and outside. Students who decide to enroll here can also take advantage of the international programs offered that provide cultural knowledge in the classroom, including the teaching of 11 foreign languages through several classes. There are also around 10 Greek organizations that many of the students are involved in, in addition to several volunteer programs so that they can help out their community in every way possible.
Some of the "hubs" mention earlier in the College House include opportunity, friendship, service, social and discipline. Each one of these make a large difference in the lives of the students and prepare them for the professional work place by giving them a chance to "do" things and not just listen and learn through several lectures, although each of these things are important elements.
