Abe's Buggy Rides near Lancaster, PA

Experience travel the Amish way with a horse and buggy ride through beautiful Dutch Country in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. You will receive a guided tour providing information on the sights you will see along the way. Among the many sights you will see are Amish farm houses, a one room Amish schoolhouse, and other sights dating back to the 1700s. Some of the tours will also take you across a beautiful four arch railroad bridge, into an Amish home, and into a Mennonite craft store and bake shop.

You will ride in the same type of buggy the Amish still use today. The buggy is comfortable year-round. In cold weather, the buggy is surprisingly warm and cozy. In the summer, the breeze will keep you cool.

While you are waiting for the tour, or after the tour is complete, have a picnic at a picnic table at Abe's, or pet some of his rabbits, goats and miniature horses. You may even see a blacksmith crafting horseshoes the old-fashioned way for the horses.

The whole family will love this beautiful and unique look into Amish life.

 - Choose from your length of ride. Rides are available in 20, 30, and 45 minutes, and an hour, and an hour fifteen minutes.
 - Rides are available year-round, except for Sundays and major holidays.
 - Hours of operation are 9am to 6pm.
 - No reservations are necessary.
 - Rides may not operate in extreme weather.
 - The buggy can accommodate anywhere from one person to a family.
 - All ages are welcome to ride.
