The 4th of July celebration in Lititz Park is a sight to behold. Every year, the park is filled with patriotic pedestrians ready to celebrate Independence Day. The park is a natural landmark for the community, and the considerate citizens have gone through great lengths throughout the years to retain the park's pristine beauty and sense of history.
The beautiful Lititz Springs Park is privately owned by the Lititz Moravian Congregation. All of their events, including the famed Fourth of July Celebration are funded by donations and the generous gifts of the Lancaster community.
The Park's public events date back to around 1778 when a local music teacher began organizing evening concerts in the area. In the many years following, the ownership of Lititz Park changed hands many times, and various generations of owners contributed greatly to the aesthetics of this beautiful and natural park.
This year is the parks 191st celebration. The Lititz Park 4th of July celebration will have numerous events and activities for the patriotic occasion. A baby parade, a pageant, a 7000 candles illumination, and a state of the art firework extravaganza are all on the itinerary this year! Visitors should be aware that there is a small entrance fee for the event.
