The Kutztown Folk Festival is a popular annual event that takes place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It has been running annually for more than 60 years. People come from all over the United States to see the incredible folk art at the festival. The festival takes place during the month of July and celebrates Pennsylvania Dutch culture.
At the festival, visitors can see a variety of arts and crafts, learn about Pennsylvania Dutch Folklore and the Pennsylvania Dutch dialect and see demonstrations of spinning and weaving, cooking, and blacksmithing. Visitors can also purchase a variety of handcrafted items from vendors from all over the region, including furniture, clothing, candles, and soaps. There is live music, dancing, country auctions, comedy, and quite a few parades during the festival. Visitors can even take part in an old-fashioned cake walk or witness a hanging in 19th century style. The entire family can enjoy this wonderful festival that has something for everyone.
