Art, Music, Food and Brews: these are the four ingredients of the Jazz, Brews andBlues Festival. On the first weekend of October, downtown
Lancaster Square will come alive at Binn's Park to celebrate the vibrancy and culture of Lancaster, PA.
Various blues and jazz artists from all over will perform at Lancaster for the Festival. Some of the artists are Angelo M., Matrix andThe Reese Project. Catch a late-night Jazz fix with D.C. andCo. at Cherry's Back-alley Bar & Grill, on October 1st, 10 p.m.
The
Lancaster Brewing Company will hold it's own in the festival. There will be over 20 micro-breweries to sample from in the Beer Garden. Three sampling sessions for the brew connoisseurs will take place: October 1st, 12 p.m. & 6 p.m. and October 2nd, 12 p.m. The area will feature breweries from all over PA including Troegs, Victory, PA Brewing Company andLegacy as well as outlander breweries like Weeping Radish, Frederick andClipper City. The Beer Garden will have ticketed entry for guests over 21 only: all proceeds benefit LancasterArts.
The art aspect of the festival is addressed by the Fall Art Walk event. Called the Annual Art Sunday until recently, the Art Walk is sponsored by The
Lancaster Museum of Art. For close to 30 years, the festival has showcased free viewings of artists from all over. These exhibitions are related to non-profit organizations, independent artist studios, galleries and businesses and occur at all of the above mentioned venues.
