Annual Quilter's Heritage Celebration at the Lancaster Hos Resort & Conference Center in Lancaster, PA
Quilting is an American tradition. Generations of Americans have passed the skill and community of quilting down to their children and grandchildren. The Quilter's Heritage Celebration is a special event for quilters and quilting enthusiasts who not only want to share their craft but also learn more about it. At the Quilter's Heritage Festival, over 500 quilts will be on exhibit. You can learn from some of the best national and international quilters with the classes held on-site. Stop by some of the mechants' booths to enjoy their handiwork. Other special functions and exhibits will also be on display for you to enjoy.
One of the highlights of the Annual Quilter's Heritage Festival is the competition. Quilters will compete in such areas as Best in Show, Best Workmanship, Best Use of Thread, Judge's Choice, Pieced Traditional, Pieced Innovative, Applique, Wall Quilts, Team or Group Quilts, Pictorial Quilts, Miniature Quilts, Wearable Art, and more. First, second, third place and honorable mention winners will be named.

Details on the Annual Quilter's Heritage Festival: - The event is held at the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference Center on April 2-5, 2009; April 8-11, 2010; March 29-Apr. 1, 2011. - The exhibit and merchant hall is very busy. Rolling carts are not permitted, and children in strollers are discouraged for safety reasons. - Please contact the event personnel if you need mobility assistance or have other disability needs.
