The Divas of Jazz is an annual event hosted by the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It is a very popular event for fans of jazz and blues music and serves to raise money for The Second Mile, which is a non-profit organization that provides underprivileged children in Pennsylvania the tools and opportunity to lead successful lives.
The event features eight exciting performances by talented jazz musicians who are backed by the Andy Roberts Quartet. It culminates in a spectacular finale featuring the Divas. This event is very highly regarded and much supported by the Lancaster Community. Some of past talented Jazz Divas who have participated in the event include Ruth Benns-Suter, Marion CoCo Coleman, Erin Cruise, Rose Hudson, Michelle Leigh, Sonia Vrooman, Diane Wilson and Robin Work. Some of the sponsors of the event include Lancaster County Magazine, Stauffers of Kissel Hill, Conwayco Website Development, Steam Powered Studio and Dayton Communications.
