The Occupational Development Center in Lancaster is a great non-profit organization that provides opportunities for developmentally disabled individuals, and they hold a few fundraisers throughout the year that are a lot of fun for the community! The Annual Chicken BBQ Event and Craft and Vendor Fair and Plant Sale is one such event that takes place annually on the Saturday before Mother’s Day.
At the event, which takes place at the Occupational Development Center outside, visitors can enjoy delicious BBQ and peruse a variety of locally-made handcrafted items. Geraniums and New Guinea Impatients, along with other varieties of flowers, are available for purchase. There will also be a variety of live entertainment for guests. Admission to the event is free, but donations are accepted. A percentage of proceeds from goods sold will benefit the Occupational Development Center. This event is perfect for families because it is for a great cause and provides so many opportunities for family fun!
