American MusicFest in Harrisburg, near Lancaster, PA

Formerly called the American MusicFest, the Harrisburg Jazz &  Multicultural Festival is an exciting event that takes place over three days during the month of July each year, usually over Independence Day. It takes place at the Riverfront Park & City Island in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The festival is very popular and grows in size each year, with thousands of people attending.

There are a variety of different musical performances at the festival each year. Most of the talented performers play jazz music, but many of them perform traditional music from a variety of different world cultures, and country music is sometimes included as well. Some of the past performers of the festival include the Maxwell Project, Diane Wilson, The Festival of India!, The Harrisburg Symphone Orchestra, and the Duke Ellington Legacy. In addition to music, children can enjoy special performances of Aesop’s Fables and other shows. Children’s rides and interactive activities are also featured at the festival. Families can enjoy delicious fares from more than 33 different local food vendors at the festival as well. A wonderful time is guaranteed!
