The Demuth Museum & Garden features artworks from the famous artist Charles Demuth inside the artist's family house. The house dates back to the 1770s and has period furnishings and beautiful gardens. Spend some time exploring Landis Valley, a living history museum complete with a schoolhouse, hotel, and other structures from the Civil War era, as well as a unique collection of household and farm items from that era and of the German heritage.

Kids of all ages will enjoy visiting the National Toy Train Museum, home to an impressive collection of toy trains, some dating back to the 1860s. The Reading Public Museum is a popular venue for children, with beautiful and educational art pieces that teach children about the sciences and arts at the same time. Kids also love the famous Make-a-Friend Workshop, with puppet shows, Amish dolls, wooden toys, and more.
