City Parks in Lancaster, PA

The Lancaster area is simply stunning with its rolling hills and picturesque countryside. A summertime visit to the area is a great time to explore the area's natural beauty with by visiting some of the local parks.

The Ltitz Springs Park was founded over 200 years ago, and is a public park maintained by the private efforts of the Lititz Moravian Church and a team of volunteers. This beautiful park is popular for picnics and enjoying leisure time in the outdoors year-round. There are also a number of special community events that are hosted here each yet. The Fourth of July Celebration and the annual antiques show are fund raising events that help to fund the park's maintenance each year. Lititz Springs Park also hosts holiday festivities, including the annual Christmas Nativity Scene with a handsomely decorated Christmas tree.

Long's Park is a large, 71-acre park located on Route 30 near Lancaster. This park offers year-round family recreational activities with its petting zoo, playground, tennis courts, lake access, picnic pavilions, fitness trail, and snack bar. The park is also used to host live musical concerts and shows in the popular Summer Entertainment Series each year. Other popular events are the Annual Sertoma Chicken BBQ, the Long's Park Arts and Crafts Festival, and the fall country music festival.

Lancaster's Musser Park is another popular gathering spot for families as well as community events. The park is known for its large open spaces where guests can get back in touch with nature. Rather than offer many amenities, the park prides itself on its natural approach to a great outdoors experience. While offering few amenities, the park is well-maintained and offers plenty of options for recreation with its wide open spaces. Musser Park hosts the Old Fashioned 4th of July festival each year, featuring entertainment, food, and arts and crafts.

The Washington Boro Community Park sits in Washington Boro, Pennsylvania. This small park is a lovely oasis of natural beauty in the heart of a charming small town. Whether you're looking for a great location to sit down with a good book outdoors or have a family picnic, the Washington Boro Community Park is the ideal setting. The Washington Boro Community Park is also popular for community events such as the tomato festival held each July, featuring live entertainment, carnival games, prizes, and great food.
