2011 Season Schedule:

  • Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming (1/13-2/26) – Set in 1945 and featuring touching stories and 25 bluegrass gospel songs, this show is about Reverend Mervin Oglethorpe’s last sermon before he leaves to preach in Texas. Tunes featured are “A Little at a Time”, “Do Lord”, “Shall We Gather at the River”, and 22 other gospel favorites.
  • Sugar (3/3 – 4/9) – Sugar is a musical comedy that is based on Some Like It Hot, which starred Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon on the big screen. Two unemployed musicians inadvertently witness the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre and dress as women to escape the mob.
  • The Unsinkable Molly Brown (4/14-5/28) – Real-life American legend Molly Turbin inspired this musical comedy about a girl from the country who travels across the Atlantic with the goal of becoming a high-society European lady. Songs featured include “I Ain’t Down Yet” and “Belly Up to The Bar.”
  • The Drowsy Chaperone (6/2-7/11) – A gentleman decides to cheer himself up by listening to his favorite record, The Drowsy Chaperone from 1928. The musical comes to life and tells the tale of a bride who is planning to quit acting to get married and a variety of hilarious characters who have their own plans regarding her wedding.
  • The Wizard of Oz (7/14-9/20) – This stage adaptation of the beloved film features Dorothy, Toto, Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow learn a little about friendship and a lot about themselves as they follow the yellow brick road. Favorite tunes from the movie like “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” an “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” will appear in this performance, along with the delightful munchkins and the terrifying Wicked Witch of the West.
  • I Love a Piano (9/25-10/1) – 60 of Irving Berlin’s classic songs spanning across seven decades come to life in this musical that will have you tapping your toes all night. Some of the songs featured include favorites like “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Blue Skies,” “God Bless America,” and “Puttin’ on the Ritz.”
  • Me and My Girl (10/6-11/12) – Bill Snibson inherits great fortune and the title of Earl in this exciting romantic comedy. He remains true to his lovely girlfriend Sally while butting heads with his snobby relatives. The exciting songs featured include “One You Lose Your Heart,” “Love Makes the World Go Round,” and “Leaning on a Lamppost.”
  • It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (11/17-12-23) – Based on the classic holiday film “Miracle on 34th Street,” a man with a white beard who claims to be Santa Claus teaches New York an important lesson about love and understanding while spreading the Christmas spirit wherever he goes.

  • The doors to the theatre open two hours prior to the show so that you will have ample time to enjoy your meal.
  • Show Times vary by day and season. Please check the schedule for specific dates and times.
  • Show length is approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
  • Gratuity is not included.
  • This activity is appropriate for all ages, however material in certain shows may not be appropriate for very young children. It is recommended not to bring children under four.
  • The theater is handicap accessible and completely smoke-free.
  • Formal attire is not required, however patrons are asked not to wear t-shirts, shorts or work-out attire.
  • A limited number of hearing aid devices are available free of charge at the box office.
  • Cameras and video cameras are not permitted.

The Wizard of Oz was great, if you name the theater 'Dutch Apple', maybe the desserts should reflect that name and the Amish community that it is a part of...Sara Lee frozen pies?? c'mon, I expected better.
